Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gildo da Costa made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Belchior Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adalberto Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7th minute, Diamantino Freire made a precise shot to the right of Túlio de Castro. Canguinha AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Canguinha AD's zone, Diamantino Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio de Castro came out of the goal and Diamantino Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Canguinha AD's Túlio de Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Canguinha AD from getting a goal against them. After 18 played minutes Canguinha AD got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão de Senna. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belchior Guedes in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basílio Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Diamantino Freire fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Túlio de Castro, passed just outside the right post. After 31 played minutes Canguinha AD got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Félix. After having played for 36 minutes, Diamantino Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bateias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diamantino Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Túlio de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gildo da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bateias's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Túlio de Castro having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd match minute, Canguinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Canguinha AD's Basílio Mineiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Canguinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Freire came free, but Túlio de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Canguinha AD's Samuca Félix got a free kick in the 58th minute. Túlio de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gildo da Costa's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Bateias's Jardel Senna got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Gildo da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Gildo da Costa made a precise shot to the right of Túlio de Castro. Canguinha AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 78th minute Belchior Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Freire in the 79th minute of play forced Canguinha AD's goalkeeper Túlio de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio de Castro having to interfere.
