A collision led to Caubi getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Belmiro Meirelles hit a great ball. Sebastião Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cléber Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Hermes scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubinho Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute José Paulo Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Hermes in the 17th minute of play forced Berlengas SS's goalkeeper Rubinho Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Berlengas SS's Zé Augusto Castro got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Berlengas SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. João Adolfo de Sena hit a great ball. José Paulo Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Ferreira having to make a save. In the 27th match minute, Caubi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, João Adolfo de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Cléber Hermes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Berlengas SS's Rubinho Ferreira. Rubinho Ferreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 33 played minutes Berlengas SS got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Garcia. José Paulo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rubinho Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Adolfo de Sena during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, João Adolfo de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Caubi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when José Paulo Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Cléber Hermes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Reinaldo de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Ferreira having to interfere. When Cléber Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Caubi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Hermes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Berlengas SS's Ulysses Meireles got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Eduardo Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Neves having to interfere. If Cléber Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cléber Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Caubi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Hermes couldn't finish the play. When Berlengas SS's Sebastião Garcia in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caubi's goalie prevented a goal. After 95 played minutes José Paulo Fonseca rounded Berlengas SS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3.
