The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jano Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Claudinho Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tinguis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerquinho the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Tinguis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerquinho:s goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fred de Amorim during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tinguis booed when Cerquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Monteiro's late challenge caught a Tinguis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cerquinho! Walmir Valadares shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Claudinho Botelho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd minute of the match Alex Hames shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinho Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vinícius de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Cerquinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinícius de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. Jano Moraes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Breno Soares scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hortêncio Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Jano Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cerquinho's Hortêncio Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Cerquinho from getting a goal against them. Breno Soares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Breno Soares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. Cerquinho's Hortêncio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Soares in the 64th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Pedro Rosa made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cerquinho's Hortêncio Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Tinguis's Pedro Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hortêncio Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hortêncio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Hortêncio Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tinguis. After 82 minutes, Filipe Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerquinho and the Tinguis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Cerquinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Hortêncio Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Soares in the 84th minute of play. Fred de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Breno Soares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Breno Soares slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 86th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tinguis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
