Jano Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Fernandes having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Jano Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ronaldão Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cerquinho booed when Boturobi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agenor Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. In the 55th minute of the match, Ronaldão Porto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baltazar Fernandes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Boturobi's zone, Ronaldão Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Fernandes came out of the goal and Ronaldão Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Porto in the 59th minute of play forced Boturobi's goalkeeper Baltazar Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cerquinho's Jano Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ronaldão Porto came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cerquinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Porto couldn't finish the play. Hortêncio Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Branco in the 73rd minute of the match. Jano Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Dé Branco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Amorim was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
