After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Gernando Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Domingo EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlinhos Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tião Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pedro de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tião Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Jefferson Moraes made a precise shot to the right of João Pedro de Alcântara. Domingo EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jefferson Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Domingo EC got a freekick which was hit by David Reis. Tiaguinho Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Pedro de Alcântara. Domingo EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 minutes, Nelson Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oiti AD and the Domingo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Nelson Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes, Domingo EC's Gernando Tande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelinho de Toledo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Domingo EC reached it. Jefferson Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro de Alcântara having to interfere. Oiti AD's Jefferson Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Oiti AD booed when Domingo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulão Paiva hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Oiti AD's Tiaguinho Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Domingo EC. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Carlinhos Furtado put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelinho de Toledo. João Pedro de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Domingo EC booed when Oiti AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo EC's Gernando Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelinho de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jefferson Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gernando Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Mineiro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toninho Mineiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Carlinhos Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tião Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. João Pedro de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Gernando Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Tiaguinho Almeida managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The attack was good, but when Carlinhos Furtado in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. David Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Marcelinho de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gernando Fernandes went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Oiti AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
