If Vivaldo Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Velloso's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Maurício Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rony Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Flexal got a freekick which was hit by Umberto de Carvalho. Fernandinho Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandinho Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flexal's Vivaldo Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Imbozal's Dário Xavier got a free kick in the 13th minute. Vivaldo Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Almeida having to interfere. If Gustavo Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adhemar Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Imbozal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Mandrak couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Dário Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rony Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Flexal's Vivaldo Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Mota having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Viana was the one to do the kick off. Emílio Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Mandrak in the 61st minute of play. Maurício Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maurício Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Vellosos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Rony Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 91 minutes into the match, Flexal's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Mandrak came free, but Emílio Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Mandrak in the 93rd minute of the match. Umberto de Carvalho hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes Imbozal got a freekick which was hit by Dário Xavier. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
