Jaguaripe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raphael de Medeiros 3 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Matipo's Dé Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro dos Santos in the 7th minute of play. Augusto Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Evandro Dante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fellipe Correia. Jaguaripe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evandro Dante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Evandro Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matipo's Dé Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro dos Santos in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fábio Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Maciel was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Augusto Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Augusto Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Jaguaripe's Tales Meirelles tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raphael de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jaguaripe's Ademar Velloso got a free kick in the 35th minute. Evandro Dante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Fellipe Correia made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael de Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. Fellipe Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael de Medeiros in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Ademar Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matipo's Walmyr Fernandez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jaguaripe. Luiz Fábio Cardoso came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dé Maciel could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro dos Santos in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dé Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matipo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ramiro dos Santos 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Dé Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Alagoano in the 69th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dé Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Raphael de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fellipe Correia. Jaguaripe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raphael de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Dé Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro dos Santos in the 85th minute of play. When Raphael de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Matipo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute of the match, Ramiro dos Santos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dé Maciel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matipo had won after a very even match.
