Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Luís Paulo Castro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vivaldo Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Luz in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Maracajatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Mattos to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Waldir França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafinha Arósio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Pedro Sampaio. Babacu SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Castro in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Pedro Sampaio saved Babacu SS from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Babacu SS's zone, Vitinho Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Sampaio came out of the goal and Vitinho Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Maracajatuba's Luís Paulo Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pedro Sampaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Reinaldo de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitinho Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Luís Paulo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute João Paulo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Maracajatuba's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Luz came free, but Vivaldo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maracajatuba's Luís Paulo Castro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Babacu SS's goalie prevented a goal. Raphael Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Garcia having to interfere. Babacu SS's João Paulo Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Raphael Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
After a rather tough play, Maracajatuba's Rafinha Arósio got a free kick in the 56th minute. João Paulo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Maracajatuba getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Laerte Nunes hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Félix, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Hernani Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracajatuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitinho Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Sampaio having to interfere. Raphael Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Garcia made a huge save. After 77 minutes of play, Babacu SS's Raphael Fontes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Pedro Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Lopez in the 83rd minute of play. Vivaldo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Luís Paulo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitinho Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. José Pedro Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Pedro Sampaio having to make a save. Waldir França hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
