Ramiro de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Váldson Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quirina AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Geovani de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chocalho's protests and gave Geovani de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chocalho's Geovani de Castro got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego de Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play forced Quirina AD's goalkeeper Ramiro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Chocalho's Augusto Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro de Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Caio Gaúcho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chocalho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quirina AD the free kick. The supporters of Quirina AD booed when Chocalho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Chocalho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Alves to maneuver through the defense. Adrianinho Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Diamantino Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Quirina AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. Diego de Carvalho hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Diamantino Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Lima in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Váldson Cabral got free with Diamantino Barros in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51st match minute, Quirina AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Diniz to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Augusto Bittencourt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ramiro de Senna, passed just outside the right post. In the 55th match minute, Quirina AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Matorin to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Emílio Goiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro de Senna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Augusto Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ramiro de Senna made a huge save. Adrianinho Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Diamantino Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Quirina AD's goal looked a bit too open when Diego de Carvalho came free, but Ramiro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Diego de Carvalho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ramiro de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Barros having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Alves during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrianinho Lima spun around in front of the goal 94 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chocalho's goal. Erasmo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Barros having to interfere.
