The referee ignored Pombinhos AD's protests and gave Kléber Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Pombinhos AD got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Antunes. In the 14th minute, Pombinhos AD's Renato Gaspar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Kauan Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamim Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael da Silveira having to interfere. Benjamim Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ismael da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauan Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Antunes got free with Erik Velasco in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. Renato Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benjamim Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Alessandro Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junqueiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Erik Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Junqueiro's zone, Renato Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Velasco came out of the goal and Renato Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
