Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tarcisio Paulista got the match started through his kick off. Carlos do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Agostinho Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Tarcisio Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cutape SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarcisio Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geraldo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game David Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tucumduba EC's Olavo Sampaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarcisio Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraldo Guimarães had several of the Cutape SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Agostinho Ribeiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Tucumduba EC booed when Cutape SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Geraldo Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tucumduba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lúcio Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tucumduba EC's zone, Tarcisio Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Sampaio came out of the goal and Tarcisio Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When David Lago came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Cutape SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Lago couldn't finish the play. David Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Sampaio having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geraldo Guimarães was the one to do the kick off. Carlos do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Geraldo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aníbal Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cutape SC's protests and gave Aníbal Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tucumduba EC booed when Cutape SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geraldo Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Guimarães in the 64th minute of play forced Cutape SC's goalkeeper Agostinho Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agostinho Ribeiro having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Cutape SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Massa to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Geraldo Guimarães notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cutape SC's Agostinho Ribeiro. Agostinho Ribeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tucumduba EC's Olavo Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Tucumduba EC from getting a goal against them. If Tarcisio Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Carlos do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Amaral in the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to Cutape SC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Aníbal Queirós hit a great ball. Agostinho Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Carlos do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tucumduba EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, David Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot.
