Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ernani Pires started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luiz Paulo Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Arósio having to interfere. Ivo Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Paulo Schmidt took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico Arósio. Nico Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dênis Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dênis Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Pessoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Massa to maneuver through the defense. Betinho Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Arósio having to interfere. Nico Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nico Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Schmidt in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Schmidt in the 33rd minute of play forced Pessoa's goalkeeper Nico Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Tecainda SC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis da Cunha. Jairo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rony Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Pires in the 40th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Schmidt in the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Luiz Paulo Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Tecainda SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Paulo Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. Tecainda SC's Betinho Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Bueno's late challenge caught a Tecainda SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Pessoa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tecainda SC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Nico Arósio, was totally fooled by Tecainda SC's Percy Ferraz, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 82nd match minute, Tecainda SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Jairo Bueno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rony Ortiz skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Ivo Mangueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rony Ortiz was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After having played for 88 minutes, Ernani Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pessoa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pessoa's Nico Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Pessoa from getting a goal against them. The Pessoa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tecainda SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tecainda SC.
