The referee showed Sílvio Luís Tavares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Urubici got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Tavares. Pacoti SC's Cléber Prestes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Urubici. If Gil Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Pacoti SC's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Alagoano came free, but Gino Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gino Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomé Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Noel Valadares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Pontes in the 41st minute. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Urubici's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cléber Prestes was slow to take the kick. During this time Pacoti SC's players had a chance to rest. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Arruda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Fausto de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Borges was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Prestes in the 67th minute of play forced Urubici's goalkeeper Noel Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Borges was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Filipe Schmidt. Pacoti SC's Celso Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Urubici players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pacoti SC.
