The supporters of Botupora booed when Passicho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Botupora defense, Abel Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Alcântara. The Botupora fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Alcântara should have stopped the shot. Botupora's Wellington Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Couto in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Luís Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botupora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Passicho SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Botupora's Luís Batista got a free kick in the 17th minute. Mauro Couto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wellington Alcântara having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Botupora's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Couto came free, but Wellington Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Botupora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Duarte to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes, Hugo Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passicho SC and the Botupora players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Leme hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Júlio Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ezequiel Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Botupora's Jeferson Araújo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ezequiel Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute of the match, Júlio Botelho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ezequiel Rezende was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wellington Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Botupora's Júlio Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otávio Romero hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Duarte made a kick off. Ezequiel Rezende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Duarte's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Luís Gustavo Quaresma hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Mauro Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Wellington Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Duarte in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Rezende saved Passicho SC from getting behind. Rodrigo Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Passicho SC's Mauro Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Botelho in the 89th minute of play forced Passicho SC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Abel Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botupora's Wellington Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
