Ezequiel Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Mauro Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Cristóvão Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ezequiel Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Paranai AD booed when Passicho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Veiga fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 20th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Jeremias Soares's late challenge caught a Paranai AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Soares helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremias Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Toninho Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ezequiel Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Coutos short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Artur Montenegro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35th play minutes Abel Mangueira shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Artur Montenegro and just under the crossbar into goal. Álvaro Esteves hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Proença in the 40th minute of play. If Abel Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Abel Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Couto struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Artur Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Passicho SC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Proença made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Mangueira in the 66th minute of play forced Paranai AD's goalkeeper Artur Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Proença in the 77th minute of play forced Passicho SC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Abel Mangueira made a precise shot to the right of Artur Montenegro. Paranai AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Mauro Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Abel Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
