After a rather tough play, Araguatins's Arnaldo Leão got a free kick in the 6th minute. Araguatins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio Valle's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Tadeu Jacinto as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Valle in the 93rd minute of play forced Uichbine's goalkeeper Carlos Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uichbine's Carlos Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Valle in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araguatins fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uichbine had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
