The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Durvalino Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Gurupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. If Carlos Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilson Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gurupi's Manfredo Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gurupi from getting a goal against them. Wilton Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Trancoso having to interfere. Gilson Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Durvalino Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Durvalino Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Manfredo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gurupi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Iboti's performance. The match ended with a win for Iboti.
