The referee ignored Itapirussu AD's protests and gave Rony Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Itapirussu AD's Rony Romero got a free kick in the 6th minute. Itapirussu AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Andradina's goalkeeper Valério Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willian Silva. 17 minutes into the match, Itapirussu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Vergílio came free, but Kiko Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Luizão Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kiko Brodel. Itapirussu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizão Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Valério Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo de Lara in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Marcelo de Lara made a precise shot to the right of Valério Linhares. Andradina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Kiko Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
