If Luís Fernando Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Paulo Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Figueiredo in the 33rd minute of play. Tiago Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Susto EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lino Pimenta hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Cavalcante having to interfere. If Luís Fabiano Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Fabiano Vides to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Guga Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Susto EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pejucara FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Susto EC got a freekick which was hit by Guga Leão. 54 minutes into the match, Susto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Vides came free, but Murilo Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carlos Fernando Prado fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pejucara FC's protests and gave Carlos Fernando Prado a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Pejucara FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Prado. After a defensive mix-up in Pejucara FC's zone, Guto Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Paulo Nunes came out of the goal and Guto Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murilo Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Vides in the 71st minute of the match. Lino Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Guto Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Guto Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pejucara FC's Pedro Paulo Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Paulo Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Susto EC's Luís Fernando Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Susto EC booed when Pejucara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes in the game, Paulo Rodrigues fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pedro Paulo Nunes having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Susto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Vides came free, but Murilo Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
