The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pejucara FC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 9th minute when Luís Fabiano Vides elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ronaldo de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Veiga in the 22nd minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Pejucara FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Moura. The audience held their breath when Serginho Oliveira in the 28th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Pedro Paulo Nunes's left hand side. The supporters of Itaiba SS booed when Pejucara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Nunes having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itaiba SS's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Arí de Queiroz rounded Pejucara FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Tiago Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ronaldo de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Arí de Queiroz made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pejucara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arí de Queiroz came free, but Pedro Paulo Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Paulo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tiago Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Itaiba SS's Arí de Queiroz in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pejucara FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute Arí de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Itaiba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fabiano Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe do Vale during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pejucara FC's Giuseppe do Vale got a free kick in the 78th minute. Itaiba SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Carlos Fernando Prado scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldo de Queirós, making the score, 1-2. If Tiago Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Caio Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Carlos Fernando Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
