Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Netto took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Acari got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Tasso. After having played for 8 minutes, Moisés Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Nilmar Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton de Barros hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Pedro Netto struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Enio Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia AD. Thanks to some nice moves Diego Garcia could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Flávio Toledo however easily saved by the left post. Diego Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Flávio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Acari's Diego Garcia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Academia AD booed when Acari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acari's Enio Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Netto in the 31st minute of play. Enio Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Pedro Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enio Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moisés Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moisés Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moisés Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 48th minute Academia AD were awarded a corner. Remo Bastos went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Tomé Zanette at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Acari. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nilmar Montenegro made the kick off in the second half. Flávio Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Montenegro in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Pedro Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Garcia in the 60th minute of play forced Academia AD's goalkeeper Flávio Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enio Linhares made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Wágner Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Acari's Enio Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Acari from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, Acari's goalkeeper Enio Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wágner Saldanha. Nilmar Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 80 played minutes Academia AD got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Valle. After 83 minutes Academia AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiago Eger who took care of the corner kick. In the 83rd minute, Tony de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Enio Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Montenegro in the 92nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wágner Saldanha got free with Enio Linhares in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Montenegro in the 97th minute of play forced Academia AD's goalkeeper Flávio Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Flávio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
