A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Armindo Coutinho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Piranha SS's Geovânio Cosme. Geovânio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th match minute, Bojuru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Armindo Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Cosme having to interfere. Hernani Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Geovânio Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz Guilherme Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Denílson de Brito made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Gino Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bojuru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ismael Barreto in the 42nd minute. The corner led Bojuru's Ismael Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Geovânio Cosme despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Armindo Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piranha SS's Geovânio Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bojuru's zone, Sandro Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson de Brito came out of the goal and Sandro Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Denílson de Brito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomé Salgado made a kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bojuru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Pedro Cardozo was slow to take the kick. During this time Piranha SS's players had a chance to rest. 60 minutes into the match, Bojuru's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Goiano came free, but Denílson de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armindo Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bojuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Coutinho couldn't finish the play. After 71 minutes, Sandro Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piranha SS and the Bojuru players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bojuru booed when Piranha SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomé Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomé Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson de Brito having to interfere. Denílson de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Goiano in the 84th minute of the match. Piranha SS's Geovânio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Moura in the 88th minute of play. Hernani Moura received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovânio Cosme came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernani Moura slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 90th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Piranha SS's goalkeeper Geovânio Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armindo Coutinho. Sandro Dante hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
