Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernani Moura started the match with the kick off. Carlos Augusto Carvalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Luís Duarte. Afogados FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armindo Coutinho had several of the Afogados FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sílvio Luís Duarte as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sílvio Luís Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Moura in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Emerson Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Afogados FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bojuru the free kick. After a rather tough play, Afogados FC's Emerson Reis got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sílvio Luís Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Bojuru's Ismael Barreto tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With his leg Sílvio Luís Duarte managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Bojuru's Armindo Coutinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Benjamin Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Bojuru's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Lopez came free, but Denílson de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bojuru's Denílson de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Lopez in the 36th minute of play. Benjamin Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bojuru's Hernani Moura in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Afogados FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Bojuru booed when Afogados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armindo Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes, Afogados FC's Guto Arce shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denílson de Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Afogados FC reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
After a defensive mix-up in Bojuru's zone, Benjamin Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson de Brito came out of the goal and Benjamin Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Moura in the 66th minute of play forced Afogados FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Gil Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hernani Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Armindo Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Bojuru's goalkeeper Denílson de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Sabóia. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Benjamin Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afogados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bojuru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Afogados FC for a fine match.
