Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tabuas FC's Nando Leite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Maracanau booed when Tabuas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Gustavo Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cido Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Tabuas FC's Vicente de Brito broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Erivaldo Berger fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maracanau's protests and gave Erivaldo Berger a yellow card for diving instead. If Manolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilmar Lira went to the wrong direction when Vicente de Brito was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 27th minute Manolo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tabuas FC's goalkeeper Ramón Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The long shot by Antônio Maciel in the 34th minute really tested Ramón Tinoco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luiz Gustavo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ramón Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Gil Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabuas FC and the Maracanau players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Tabuas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Simões. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Luiz Gustavo Montenegro made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Gustavo Montenegro took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Tinoco. Ramón Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Serginho Andrade hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ramón Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Bertassi in the 63rd minute of the match. Manolo Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Lira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gernando Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracanau's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramón Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manolo Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Maracanau's Nilmar Lira got control of the ball when Manolo Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Maracanau's goalkeeper Nilmar Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolo Rossi. After having played for 74 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracanau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Maracanau's Luiz Gustavo Montenegro in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ramón Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Manolo Rossi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Nilmar Lira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cido Gomes's late challenge caught a Tabuas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cido Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
