Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danilo Andrade took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Vasco EC booed when Corujas SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Corujas SS defense, Geovanni de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enio Paraense. The Corujas SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enio Paraense should have stopped the shot. Danilo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tomé Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Madureira having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Corujas SS's goalkeeper Enio Paraense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni de Barros. The audience was convinced that Basílio Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Madureira was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Danilo Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Paraense having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Corujas SS's goalkeeper Enio Paraense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni de Barros. If Benedito Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedito Pires made a kick off. Tomé Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Basílio Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tomé Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vasco EC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aníbal Almeida hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Basílio Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corujas SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco EC's zone, Basílio Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Madureira came out of the goal and Basílio Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corujas SS's Basílio Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genílson Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Andrade in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 70 minutes, Basílio Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corujas SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomé Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Silva in the 73rd minute. Enio Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Pires in the 79th minute of play. Tomé Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Silva in the 81st minute. If Basílio Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Danilo Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco EC's Tomé Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Vasco EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Corujas SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
