The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match Cristian Paiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enio Paraense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 9 minutes of play, Tabuas FC's Manolo Rossi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enio Paraense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Enio Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manolo Rossi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Nando Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Tinoco having to interfere. If Manolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Corujas SS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcus Xavier hit a great ball. If Nando Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Corujas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Leite came free, but Enio Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Manolo Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Corujas SS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Davi de Azevedo hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Corujas SS's Danilo Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramón Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 48 minutes, Nando Leite made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Corujas SS's Enio Paraense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando Leite was the one to do the kick off. Ramón Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Andrade in the 62nd minute of play forced Tabuas FC's goalkeeper Ramón Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramón Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Silva in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute, Pedro Luís Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Vicente de Brito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enio Paraense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 2-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Basílio Silva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Enio Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Leite in the 85th minute of play. Nando Leite struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Enio Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabuas FC. Enio Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Leite in the 92nd minute of the match.
