In the 15thth minute of the game Faustão Nóbrega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buritys AD's Dráuzio Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Buritys AD's Dráuzio Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Freire in the 16th minute of play. Dráuzio Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráuzio Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Guerra in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Tostão Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldir Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. When André Freire came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Contao SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Freire couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Buritys AD's Dráuzio Teixeira got control of the ball when André Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Teixeira having to interfere. Dráuzio Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when André Freire sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Contao SC's Wágner Bezerra got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Tomás de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Contao SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
