Albertino Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Fonseca in the 13th minute of play forced Nado FC's goalkeeper Sydney Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Felipe Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Pulgas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Guga Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guga Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Sydney Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pulgas FC. In the 33rd minute Albertino Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Pulgas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Moura to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Pulgas FC's Celsinho Loureiro got control of the ball when Guga Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celsinho Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertino Azevedo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Guga Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Albertino Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guga Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celsinho Loureiro having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Felipe Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pulgas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Afonso Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Ramalho having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Dalmo Hames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Sydney Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erivaldo Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Leandro da Silveira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pulgas FC's Celsinho Loureiro didn't even have to move. 89 minutes into the game, Enio Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pulgas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nado FC the free kick. The supporters of Nado FC booed when Pulgas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pulgas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
