The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Pedro Luís Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Arrinha SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 32 minutes, Erik Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrinha SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes Sobradinho got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Romero. Sobradinho's Ciro Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Sobradinho from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. Nildo Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Aguiar having to interfere. Ciro Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Tróia in the 59th minute of play. Sobradinho's Ciro Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Queiroz in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Miguel Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Aguiar having to interfere. Ciro Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Tróia in the 79th minute of the match. If Erik Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ciro Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrinha SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
