Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valério Vinhas kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Cesinha Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sumare and the Manos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesinha Vianna hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute of the match Belchior Lago shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Betinho Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Orlando Lima notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Manos's Mathias Alagoano. Mathias Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 minutes, Dinei Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manos and the Sumare players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Dinei Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonsinho Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Betinho Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Manos's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Vinhas came free, but Mathias Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Orlando Lima came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Sumare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Lima couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Vinhas in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias Alagoano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonsinho Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Tepedino in the 34th minute of play forced Sumare's goalkeeper Betinho Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Manos booed when Sumare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Alagoano having to interfere. Sumare's Valério Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Manos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sumare were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Afonsinho Tepedino made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Manos were awarded a corner. Belchior Lago went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 56 minutes, Valério Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valério Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Sumare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Vinhas couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Manos's Mathias Alagoano got control of the ball when Orlando Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sumare's zone, Afonsinho Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Barros came out of the goal and Afonsinho Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Manos. Belchior Lago stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Betinho Barros. 1-1. Mathias Alagoano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 78th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. When Valério Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sumare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Vinhas couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Hames during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ademar Lopez, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Valério Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumare's supporters rose to their feet, but Valério Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Alagoano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manos's Mathias Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Vinhas in the 97th minute of play.
