Gerson Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Andrade having to interfere. Gerson Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Buzios's Horácio Medeiros in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corina's goalie prevented a goal. Nelson Meireles came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Augusto Chaves could save by the left post. Nelson Meireles in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Augusto Chaves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nelson Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Corina's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Novaes. Horácio Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Corina's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Medeiros came free, but Zé Augusto Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerson Ramos struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Narciso Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corina. The audience was convinced that Gerson Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Andrade was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Corina's zone, Nelson Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Chaves came out of the goal and Nelson Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Corina were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerson Ramos was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Buzios got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Dracena. Narciso Andrade acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gualter Moreira. When Renato Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buzios's protests and gave Renato Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, Buzios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Novaes to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Buzios's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Ramos came free, but Narciso Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buzios's Juan Novaes got a free kick in the 59th minute. Narciso Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Ramos in the 61st minute of the match. Buzios's Nelson Meireles pulled a muscle in his leg after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Corina's Narciso Carneiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Horácio Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buzios's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Corina's zone, Horácio Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Chaves came out of the goal and Horácio Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geraldo Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geraldo Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Corina getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Geraldo Mineiro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corina's zone, Horácio Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Chaves came out of the goal and Horácio Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corina's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Falcão Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Narciso Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Santos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Corina's Narciso Andrade threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerson Ramos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Corina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
