The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evandro Coelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Benê Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ihum AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ihum AD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Albertino Ramos hit a great ball. Evandro Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Fontes in the 14th minute of play. If José Vítor Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lenílson Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenílson Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Evandro Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meier AD. After 24 minutes of play, Meier AD's José Vítor Fontes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evandro Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donatello de Senna charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donatello de Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Lucas in the 33rd minute of play forced Meier AD's goalkeeper Diamantino da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meier AD's Lenílson Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, José Vítor Fontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evandro Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benê Lucas to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Benê Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Vítor Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meier AD's Diamantino da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Lucas in the 74th minute of play. Diamantino da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
