José Vítor Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Perez having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Fernandinho Perez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Piumhy EC's Fernandinho Perez got control of the ball when José Vítor Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Piumhy EC's Jonathan Batista got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the game, Meier AD's José Vítor Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandinho Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Diamantino da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Meier AD got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Hermes. Fiori Montenegro took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino da Fonseca. Diamantino da Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 46 minutes into the match, Meier AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Montenegro came free, but Diamantino da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lenílson Oliveira to make the kick off. Lenílson Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Perez having to interfere. Fernandinho Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lenílson Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Fernandinho Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Fontes in the 61st minute of play. If Lenílson Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Diamantino da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Piumhy EC's Manfredo Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fiori Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino da Fonseca was a little too slow when Manfredo Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-2. When Meier AD's Lenílson Oliveira in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piumhy EC's goalie prevented a goal. José Vítor Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fiori Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Diamantino da Fonseca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Fiori Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meier AD's Diamantino da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Carvalho in the 95th minute of play.
