An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Nascimento in the 8th minute of play forced Querera's goalkeeper André Luís de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wilson Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Cerejeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Nascimento couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualter Vasconcelos in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chicão Gerber saved Cerejeira FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Querera's zone, Oswaldo Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís de Medeiros came out of the goal and Oswaldo Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Gerber was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Baltazar Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Chicão Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gualter Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querera's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualter Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Cerejeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Pires came free, but Chicão Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Nascimento was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
