Nilmar Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mapirunga FC's zone, Elano Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Soeiro came out of the goal and Elano Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Augusto Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Ademar Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mapirunga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Ferraz couldn't finish the play. Ademar Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 31 minutes, Silvinho Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mapirunga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elano Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Ademar Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mapirunga FC's Silvinho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mapirunga FC's Jairo Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nilmar Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilmar Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Mapirunga FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Dracena. Júlio Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luiz Paulo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

57 minutes into the match, Mapirunga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Quintal came free, but Luiz Paulo Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes Mapirunga FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Breckenfeld. In the 60th minute Jairo Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Júlio Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Arósio in the 75th minute of play forced Mostardas AD's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mostardas AD's Claudinei Marques got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Silvinho Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Augusto Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Arósio in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Arósio in the 95th minute of play forced Mostardas AD's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mapirunga FC had played much better football throughout.
