In the 13th minute Samuel Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Lopez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Samuel Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Furtado in the 34th minute of play. When Samuel Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Praiba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Anacetaba FC booed when Praiba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Vinhas made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mané das Neves sent off a good shot on target. Ezequiel Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Salgado in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Furtado was the one to do the kick off.
