Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fabrício Abraão started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Carlos Alberto de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Susto's Clóvis Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelinho Sarmento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When André da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Itaberai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André da Rocha couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celsinho Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Celsinho Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho do Nascimento in the 18th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Susto got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Abraão. 21 minutes into the game, Giovanni Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaberai SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Susto the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Itaberai SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Zonta to maneuver through the defense. If Claudinho Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber de Queiroz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Claudinho Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celsinho Vasconcelos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, Itaberai SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis Alagoano. Clóvis Alagoano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Marcelinho Sarmento 37 minutes into the match. If Fabrício Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Susto's Fabrício Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Susto's Celsinho Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Fontes in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, Guga Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clóvis Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Marcelinho Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Clóvis Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Susto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Susto's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Fontes came free, but Celsinho Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Susto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
