Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernandinho de Barros started the match with the kick off. Sebastião de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Cristiano Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aracatiara's Armando Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Porto in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Raphael Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriano de Lara was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Afonso Costa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Afonso Costa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Costa made a kick off.
