In the 80th minute, Zé Carlos Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Dracena having to interfere. Vinícius Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes, Arouca SC's Oswaldo Severo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Paulo Dracena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arouca SC reached it. In the 88th minute, Jean Vander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arouca SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Francisco Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Moraes in the 92nd minute of the match. Rodriguinho Quaresmas short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Francisco Penha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
