Alexsandro Nascimento started the match with the kick off. João Augusto Hoffmann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurício Veloso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Francisco Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Nascimento in the 11th minute of play. João Augusto Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but João Augusto Hoffmann made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Arouca SC's Maurício Veloso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Maurício Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. João Augusto Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Borel FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Arouca SC:s goal. In the 32nd minute of the match Paulinho Gomes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Augusto Hoffmann skillfully saved the ball. João Augusto Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Veloso in the 34th minute of the match. Francisco Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexsandro Nascimento went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Arouca SC's Francisco Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Leal in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurício Veloso was the one to do the kick off. The Arouca SC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Arouca SC's Jean Vander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arouca SC's Francisco Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Nascimento in the 62nd minute of play. Jean Vander struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. João Augusto Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arouca SC. If Jean Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Arouca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Nascimento came free, but Francisco Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maurício Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Arouca SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Veloso couldn't finish the play. Alexsandro Leals short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Francisco Penha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexsandro Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Francisco Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arouca SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Borel FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
