Glauco Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Váldson da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Dida Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Mota in the 82nd minute. Régis Chaves might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Váldson da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Régis Chaves ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Forromeco's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Chaves came free, but Váldson da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
