Sílvio Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Frank Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Vergílio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Dias in the 12th minute. Daniel Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Lino Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Vergílio having to interfere. If Frank Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iacanga's Sílvio Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Iacanga from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carajari's goalkeeper Enrique Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sílvio Vergílio was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Frank Cardozo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frank Cardozo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 46th minute, Carajari's Frank Cardozo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sílvio Vergílio. Sílvio Vergílio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Mazza made a kick off. Iacanga's Sílvio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Cardozo in the 53rd minute of play. Nilmar Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Iacanga's Gustavo Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Enrique Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iacanga. Carajari's Enrique Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Mazza in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute Gustavo Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Enrique Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Corrêa having to interfere. Sílvio Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
