After 3 minutes, Décio Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabuleirinho FC and the Munhoz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Tabuleirinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Décio Negri. Caetano Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Coelho having to interfere. When Jonathan Leão fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Munhoz's protests and gave Jonathan Leão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Munhoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Leão to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Caetano Souza notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Munhoz's Patrick Coelho. Patrick Coelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Andrade in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Coelho saved Munhoz from getting behind. Patrick Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Souza went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Hugo Viana struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Celsinho dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Munhoz. Celsinho dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Hugo Viana sent off a good shot on target. When Fernão Paes fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Munhoz's protests and gave Fernão Paes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tabuleirinho FC booed when Munhoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernão Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Patrick Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caetano Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Tabuleirinho FC's Caetano Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Caetano Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Munhoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Pena to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Tabuleirinho FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Paiva was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Hugo Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Munhoz and the Tabuleirinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Viana hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tabuleirinho FC booed when Munhoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernão Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Antônio Carlos Faria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick Coelho skillfully saved the ball. Caetano Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Munhoz's zone, Caetano Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Coelho came out of the goal and Caetano Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fernão Paes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. The supporters of Tabuleirinho FC booed when Munhoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernão Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Munhoz got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Paiva. In the 73rd minute, Emanuel Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 played minutes Tabuleirinho FC got a freekick which was hit by William Travassos. After a defensive mix-up in Munhoz's zone, Caetano Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Coelho came out of the goal and Caetano Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Caetano Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabuleirinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, Tabuleirinho FC's Emanuel Andrade made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Emanuel Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Tabuleirinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Andrade couldn't finish the play. The Munhoz fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tabuleirinho FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
