After a defensive mix-up in Cunhas SC's zone, Ricardo Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Simões came out of the goal and Ricardo Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo Prado lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience held their breath when Nico Almeida in the 41st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Nico Simões's left hand side. After the first half Prea SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Favoretto to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nico Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ricardo Prata, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 62 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nico Simões was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Prata in the 65th minute of play forced Cunhas SC's goalkeeper Nico Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ricardo Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tiago Lima came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cunhas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Lima couldn't finish the play. After 77 minutes of play, Cunhas SC's Tiago Lima made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Favoretto in the 82nd minute of the match. Prea SS's Marcos Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Favoretto in the 84th minute of play. Nico Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
