In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bacalhau's goalkeeper Rodrigo Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute, Tiago Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Maciel in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute Walmyr Ceresso collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. A collision led to Bacalhau getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Geovânio Vale hit a great ball. Tiago Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Davi Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Cordeiro having to interfere. Alex Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Tasso having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Davi Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bacalhau's Davi Quadros in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guidoval SC's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Geovânio Vale kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vânderson Cordeiro. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bacalhau's zone, Alex Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Tasso came out of the goal and Alex Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Alex Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Torres in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Alex Torres made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Tasso. Bacalhau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Bacalhau getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Loyola hit a great ball. Davi Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bacalhau booed when Guidoval SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 92 in the game by Davi Quadros from a close distance when the talented Vânderson Cordeiro managed to make a qualified save. Guidoval SC's players were relieved. Pedro Paulo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute of the game, Geovânio Vale landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Clemente Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guidoval SC's protests and gave Clemente Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Guidoval SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
