Rafael Saldanha hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Gonçalves in the 6th minute of play forced Itaimbe AD's goalkeeper Isaltino Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Momanas booed when Itaimbe AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8th play minutes Duda Freitas shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Isaltino Terra and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Itaimbe AD getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tales Prata hit a great ball. If Murillo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Francisco Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Francisco Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nilson Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. Nilson Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Mendonça in the 24th minute of the match. Nilson Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Mendonça in the 26th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Sebastião Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaimbe AD and the Momanas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Itaimbe AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Duda Freitas struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Isaltino Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Momanas. Murillo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Isaltino Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Momanas getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. José Saraiva hit a great ball. Rafael Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nilson Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Mendonça to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Itaimbe AD's Giuseppe Peixoto got a free kick in the 50th minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Duda Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Momanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itaimbe AD's Isaltino Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Gonçalves in the 57th minute of play. Duda Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Isaltino Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Momanas's zone, Sebastião Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson Cardoso came out of the goal and Sebastião Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Momanas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Egídio Xavier hit a great ball. Egídio Xavier took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaltino Terra. Isaltino Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 80 minutes into the game, Itaimbe AD's Rafael Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilson Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Momanas's goalkeeper Nilson Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute of the match Momanas got a corner. Itaimbe AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Matorin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Momanas's corner Enrique Matorin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isaltino Terra quite easily take care of the ball. With an all-out effort, Momanas's Isaltino Terra threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murillo Gonçalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sebastião Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Nilson Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino Terra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
