Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcelinho Reis got the match started through his kick off. Hílton Mota made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Fernandinho Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 5 minutes, Fernandinho Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelinho Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Mota having to interfere. The supporters of Maia booed when Escada SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antônio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Celso Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Fernandinho Ceresso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hílton Mota was a little too slow when Marcelinho Reis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Maia's Ricardinho Gerber couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Escada SS. Hílton Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Marcelinho Reis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hílton Mota to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Marcelinho Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Celso Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Ismael Arantes made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Ismael Arantes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celso Ferraz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 53rd minute, Ismael Arantes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Virgílio Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Celso Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Cardoso in the 63rd minute. Hílton Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Celso Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Arantes in the 68th minute of play. Antônio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Ferraz having to interfere. Celso Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Arantes in the 75th minute of the match. Fernandinho Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Maia's zone, Antônio Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Ferraz came out of the goal and Antônio Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nando Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fernandinho Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Hílton Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Escada SS for a fine match.
