Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio Soares started the match with the kick off. Ismael Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Escada SS booed when Magarai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes, Escada SS's Nando Pena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cláudio Maranhense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Escada SS reached it. When Ismael Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Escada SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Arantes couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Magarai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Andrézinho Gaspar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Escada SS's Hílton Mota didn't even have to move. After having played for 30 minutes, Antônio Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escada SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Escada SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Hílton Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Zanette in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes of play, Magarai's Basílio Zanette made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basílio Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Mota having to interfere. If Basílio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The supporters of Escada SS booed when Magarai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Escada SS getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Zé Guimarães hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Magarai's Andrézinho Gaspar tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Manoel Cerezo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, Escada SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Hílton Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Soares in the 63rd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Magarai's goalkeeper Cláudio Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Cardoso. Antônio Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Cardoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cláudio Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Cardoso ran back to his position shaking his head. If Basílio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Soares struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Hílton Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magarai. There was no doubt that Magarai were the better team. Magarai's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
