Clóvis Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Catarinense having to interfere. Carlinhos Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Museu AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlinhos Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Bahusinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Prata, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcos Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Museu AD's Lúcio Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Borges in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, Museu AD's Lúcio Sá got control of the ball when Reinaldo Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. Conrado Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Marcos Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Museu AD. In the 65th match minute, Bahusinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Clóvis Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Danilo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Bezerra in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes, Carlos Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahusinho AD and the Museu AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bahusinho AD getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Carlos Magalhães hit a great ball.
