Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lúcio Tasso struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Ezequiel Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaici SS. 9 minutes into the game, Laércio Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mutunopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaici SS the free kick. Laércio Azevedo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. William Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mutunopolis's zone, Lúcio Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Rocha came out of the goal and Lúcio Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Lúcio Tasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ezequiel Rocha. Mutunopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lúcio Tasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Washington Mangueira succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Renato Prata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of William Cunha, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Mutunopolis's Olívio Netto got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Itaici SS got a corner. Mutunopolis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisinho Aguiar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Terra got free with William Cunha in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lúcio Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Itaici SS got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Mangueira. In the 60th minute of the match Mutunopolis got a corner. Itaici SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Perez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jonas Neves heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Washington Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ezequiel Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Víktor Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ezequiel Rocha was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Lúcio Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Lúcio Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Renato Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itaici SS's William Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Prata in the 92nd minute of play. Mutunopolis's João Augusto Perez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 99th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itaici SS. Itaici SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
